The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is an important religious, political and historic site for many people. This new exhibit at the Tower of David takes you through the years – from the time of the first photographers till today to see the history of the Mount.
Curated by Dr Shimon Lev, a photographer and academic who manages to portray all the different aspects of the historic site through photography – both family shots and professional. The exhibit walls are divided into time periods.
The exhibit includes an interactive table which with the press of a button takes you to different areas on top of the mount.
The highlight of the exhibit are the Virtual Reality glasses (Tower of David Innovation Lab) that take you on to the Mount and even into the Dome of the Rock. For those who can not enter the area because of religion or religious beliefs it’s a unique opportunity to see it.
Self guided ours are available in Hebrew & English and there is a beautiful catalog for sale at the Tower of David or on their website.
