The Ginot Ha’ir community center invites families to its first-ever Talbiyeh Festival – a series of six exciting events, over a two-week period this October, in and around Talbiyeh.
Celebrate the unique atmosphere of one of Jerusalem’s most beautiful neighborhoods. Soak up the magic of the area with musical workshops, cultural experiences and walking tours through the spell-binding streets of Talbiyeh and learn more about our local history.

When Past & Present Meet
Monday October 4, 5pm at Studio Mishelach, Kaf Tet Be’November Street
A walking tour of the local area, accompanied by a string trio. Run by Studio MiShelach and the NGO, “Etnachta Le’Banot”.
Movies “Between the Trees”
Tuesday October 5, 7.30pm at the Zamenhof Community Garden, 12 Zamenhof Street
An evening celebrating the local talent of young film-makers, showcasing their short movies to the community.
Creative Expression
Thursday October 7, 8pm at HaMifal, 3 Hama’aravim Street
An evening of free drawing, encouraging participants to experiment and express themselves through art. Run by art students. Music and alcoholic drinks at the bar.
Green Talbiyeh
Wednesday October 13, 4.20pm at the Sokolov Gardens, 10 Sokolov Street
A guided tour with Yisrael Galon of the flowers and vegetation in the neighborhood. Includes a discussion and musical performance with the band “Tzumat Lev” in the courtyard of the Harmati family.
Festival Finale for all the Family
Thursday October 14, 4pm at the Gan HaShoshanim
A children’s show “Circus Together”, second-hand fair, food stalls, a movie screening and surprises for all the kids!
The secret of the Capuchin monastery
Friday October 15, 10am at 16 Disraeli Street
A tour led by the monk Yunus, ending with a classical string trio concert at the monastery church.
