Jerusalem Marching Together Giant Puppet Parade

A parade of original displays and giant puppets, the result of a collaborative process with artists, cultural institutions, and local communities, will march through the heart of Jerusalem—the essence of the city’s creative spirit in one great procession!

Leading the parade, together with the display “The Yellow Line,” will be the families of the hostages, with prayer and in demand for their speedy return.

A parade of extraordinary displays and giant, original, and spectacular puppets will march through the heart of Jerusalem. Before and after the parade, the streets will come alive with music, clowns, acrobats, living statues, and face-painting stations.

The procession will feature approximately 30 original projects making their world premiere, alongside orchestras, dance troupes, and musical stages.

“The Animal World”

Come meet a winged lion standing on its hind legs, roaring in greeting, and the legendary Loch Ness monster making a special visit. Imaginary and colorful creatures will soar through the sky straight from the Czech Republic, while a herd of galloping giraffes moves to the beat of African drums, led by a giant dancing orangutan.

The Beit HaLochem family will fly a flock of birds symbolizing new hope, and a magical children’s carousel featuring enchanted animals from Engelmayer’s postcards will represent the longing for the safe return of all the hostages.

For the brave-hearted, a smoke-puffing dragon will ride on a real bulldozer, followed by a majestic peacock opening and closing its dazzling feathers. Literary heroes will come to life—you can feed Shmulik the hedgehog from a giant strawberry bowl or visit the tower from Apartment for Rent.

Expect a bear circus, a submarine-like fish, a colorful hybrid clone, orchestras, dance troupes, and much more. And as a grand finale, beloved characters from Hop! and Nickelodeon will be there to say hello!
