The Israel Festival is an annual arts festival which includes plays, concerts, dance performances and more.
This year, there are a variety of original productions by Israeli and international creators who are not afraid to take a look at reality, post October 7.
More Than One Song. Sept. 17 – The beloved podcast takes the stage, breaking out of its format.
Music People: Sept. 18 – A unique social musical venture which is intended for gifted musicians from Otef Aza and the North. The unique ensemble will perform original material by the young musicians, alongside classics and familiar hits by the more experienced performers. Together, everyone will try to play the music of these complicated times, and allow the sounds to delve deep inside.
Never Ending Mourning: Sept. 18 & 19 – A fable about the wonderous, endless movement of grief.
Shout Aloud: Sept. 19 – Yasmeen Godder Company & Dikla join powers.
Portraits in Motion: Sept. 18 & 19 – Analog theatre, connected to the present.
A Place to Live: Sept. 18 & 19 – A multidisciplinary theatrical work that stems from Otef Aza.
100 Men: Sept. 26 & 27 – A cinematic wandering on stage.
Shura: Sept. 26 – The mission of identifying life. A play based in reality
FINALE – ONE DAY: Sept. 27 – Will take place on the main stage of the Jerusalem Theater – audience together with performers: musicians, actors, dancers, speakers, and more. It will examine the places where togetherness is a source of strength, and the moments when it is a thin mask that hides divisions. One Day will be divided into a number of segments throughout the day. The audience will be able to choose whether to join some, or all of them.
