The Hasmonean experience in the Roman square will open in honor of Hanukkah and will be an experiential mix of Indiana Jones and Game of Thrones.
There will be stations where families will be challenged to participate in a family championship of Jewish history. Activities include the game that will be revealed on the floor of the square, bow and arrow target shooting, solving riddles, operating a siege machine, making a Hasmonean pendant, and a challenge to take the most hysterical selfie in the city on the roof of the Northern Walls Promenade in front of the Temple Mount.
Tours leave every half hour from Jaffa Gate. Each tour takes 2.5 hours.
