Hanukkah Candle Lighting at the Kotel

It is an annual tradition to watch the candle lighting ceremony at the Kotel, the site closest to the Hanukkah miracle in the presence of rabbis, public figures, families, and volunteers.

The candles will be lit in a magnificent menorah made entirely of bronze casting, more than 2 meters high and about 2 meters wide, weighing about one ton.

Chanukah candles will be lit according to the mehadrin custom from olive oil to last throughout the night.

The events will be broadcast live (except for Friday and Saturday evenings) on the Western Wall website, so that the entire nation of Israel can join from their homes, IDF bases, and hotels for evacuees, and be part of the exciting and uplifting atmosphere from the Western Wall.
