The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens has more than six thousand plant species, which were brought to Israel from all over the world.
The plants are displayed in six sections, North America, South Africa, Europe, Australia, Central Asia, and Mediterranean, each designed to create a miniature landscape of the region of origin of the plants.
During the summer and holidays, the botanical gardens hosts festivals with workshops and activities. During the winter they host special weekend activities for families. Check the calendar for details.
There is also a Garden Train for kids to enjoy (check for the train hours in advance).
UPDATE as of May 22 – Tickets must be purchased in advanced to limit the number of visitors to the gardens. Click here
