Nestled in the Judean Hills bordering the Judean desert, the Gush is only a 15 minute drive from Jerusalem. The Gush has a variety of tourist attractions for families. The Gush has a variety of festivals throughout the year for families to enjoy including the Cherry Picking Festival and the Path of the Patriarchs on Pesach.

Elazar Experience Center: Petting zoo with entry into the cages for feeding (Elazar)
Deer-land:A large wildlife park. Visitors can circulate among the animals. Two ziplines (the longest in Israel), suspended obstacle course (Kfar Etzion)
Moshe’s Farm: Pony rides (Efrat)
Gush Etzion Wineries:Tour of the winery and tasting (Gush Etzion Junction)
Sound and Light Show:Recounting the fall of Gush Etzion prior to the establishment of the State of Israel. Ages 8+ (Gush Etzion Junction)
Biyar Aqueduct (the Shaft Riverbed): An underground tour of the aqueduct (Efrat)

It would be useful to add at the entry for “Deerland Park” that besides being a nature reserve, it has many extreme Sprt activities, such as 2 ziplines (1 of them is the largest in all of Israel, and 2nd largest in the world) and a suspended obstacle course.
Also, there is a lovely dairy restaurant, at the winery that was not listed, and the Pundak Hagush just closed don, and should not be listed.
Do you need reservations for the family attractions or can you just show up?
You should definitely call ahead to reserve, especially when it is not high season.
